MEET the Artist
Melody is a storytelling artist from South Jersey who focuses on theatre, writing, and education but loves exploring all the different ways a story can be told. She loves scary stories and being from the weirdest state. When not working on her art, Melody can be found traveling, kayaking, or napping with her dogs, Cierra and Ophelia.

Skerryvore: A Tale of Terror//Philadelphia Fringe Festival 2023
Melody has designed, directed, and produced multiple plays in New Jersey and Philadelphia. She is dedicated to working on a diverse set of stories that encapsulate the human experience, aiming to foster a connection between art, artist, and audience.
Melody has a preference for props design, directing, and producing theatre. The shows she is most proud of are The Birds, (2019) Skerryvore: A Tale of Terror (2023), and Ghetto Gods of Divineland (2024).

Melody is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English at Arcadia University. Her short story Far More received an Honorable Mention from the Ron. L Hubbard Writers of the Future Fiction Contest in early 2024 and she is working on developing it into a novel.

In 2022 Melody was missing being a camp counselor, leading her to becoming a teaching artist. Her art and music teachers growing up were the only reason she stayed in school, so she believes whole heartedly in the power of arts education.
She teaches mostly technical theatre skills to middle and high school students, but has also taught general drama skills, design, storytelling, writing, and more. Melody is committed to helping students learn practical skills and art at the same time.
