Melody is currently a graduate student at Arcadia University pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing (2025) and an MA in English (2026).

In 2021 she participated in StreamOn Production’s class The Power of Storytelling: Race, Identity, and Theatre where she wrote the short play Skeletons.

Her short story “Far More” received an Honorable Mention in the Ron L. Hubbard Writers of the Future contest in 2024.
